I just found a clip on you tube of JF taking us through the tequila solo, played by Chuck Rio.
Johnny breaks it down into four and eight bar phrases, licks and such. Man, that is one DECEPTIVE SOLO. I’ve been doing these backing tracks full tilt. Feeling pleased with myself at the tricky solo timing in ” pieces “…having good and bad days with Jr Walker. Will those altissimo G & A pop out ?
All good stuff. Night train is sorted out. Tequila, I thought…” The tune is simple enough “…. I’ll nail the solo in a few hours. A few WEEKS !!
Great clip, gnarly tone ( in the best way !! )….at the end JF says…yup !!…” And that’s about it ”
