Cool, soulful and written by keyboardist Joe Zawinal while working with the Cannonball Adderley Quintet. This 1966 instrumental was so catchy that it hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Sounds great on all saxophones.

The key here is the same one as recorded by Cannonball Adderley, which is C major concert. This means D major for the B flat saxophones and A major for the E flat saxes.

yup, it’s a great tune. Gonna re-cut it with the boys in the studio soon to get it on an upcoming album that will go to the streaming stores soon.
I think I did it in the same key as Cannonball which is Zawinal’s key.
