sounds great Dazza, you’re making me wish I could play it! things will start moving along even better with a better mp.
March 6, 2015 at 6:51 am #13721Congrats on your Sax Dazza, sounds like you got a solid deal for sure. Would love to see some pictures of it in “Show Us Your Sax” (I’ll be doing the same with mine here very shortly….I’m not off the hook LOL) What kind of MP/reed combo are you going to use for it? In terms of the Altissimo course; you’ll find it to be awesome even for improving your playing in the normal range of the Saxophone. Sure, Johnny designed it to play those really high notes but you get so much more out of it too than just the Altissimo notes. One thing you’ll find out: Forget looking online for those “secret” fingering positions. It’s more about the technique v.s. fingering positions. Take the time to REALLY master those exercises that Johnny teaches and you WILL get there.

Good for you Dazza!
The last month or so when i play the sax, it sounds like a completely different sax
to what it sounded like 6 months ago before i started using Johnny’s “Daily Sax Routine”
everyday. Seriously! not try to plug his product, but the sax now seems to take on more
feeling and expression compared to monotonous honking & lifeless tones. Even my Instructer
who is a Pro has noticed the difference, and has started playing duets with me on his Selmar. In 3 years time i hope to buy a Pro Sax model (probably a reference 54 Selmar), when i complete my
grade 5 (i’m making myself work for it, rather than buying one now)!
The only problem is i’m so liking my sound now that it has changed, that i’m worried now
about having to change to another Sax, apart from it being a Pro model.Anyway, boring you with my stuff – Have fun with your new Sax! Look forward to hearing it on the Blogg!
