One or more of these very important tips and techniques are overlooked by many people studying the saxophone.
- proper breathing technique
- open throat
- oral cavity
- lip pressure
- ear training/intonation
In the above video I talk about and go over each of these very important points. Don’t get overwhelmed because you will work on only one at a time. As you spend some time on each of these techniques you will start to improve your sound and intonation in the upper register of your saxophone.
If you are unclear on some of the fingerings for some of these high notes, check the fingering chart at the link below:
Johnny you are a marvel with your lesson and videos great for learning .
Hi Jonny I like to know what kind of sound system or Microphon do you youse to have such of dutiful sound when you record your song
My mic is the Neumann TLM 103. there is no sound system I go directly into my computer which has a recording program.
remember, the mic is not as important as the source, which is the saxophone and the sound that comes out of it. so make sure you are working to improve your sound daily, that is the secret.
