      Good luck Elizabeth!
Great song that one, nice slow number, i also
like ‘love you just the way you are’ thats on Johnny’s
      tracks!

You should do an upload to the ‘members videos’ to
share – at your level of playing, it gives the learners
on this site a more diverse feeling to the range of different
players capabilities and what they can aspire to.

I’m playing in an orchestra in a months time, and i’ve
just recieved the 4 song sheets i’ve got to practice on
alto, 2 jazz swing & 2 classical pieces – all 4 are harmony
parts, not melody – and they are really difficult.

But by plugging away – i will get better and better, like you
will when you get out there gigging! Its a fantastic feeling
playing live – can’t wait to get out there!

      good luck – have fun

Great choice of song Elizabeth, those songs by Bill Withers are great on the Saxophone. How did you go about booking your gig? Did you just go up and talk to the manager? That’s great you booked your first gig on your own! Hats off to you; big step for sure. Last fall when I first broke into the Altissimo range, I did “Use Me” and sometimes I don’t wanna put the Sax down with that song; it’s a fantastic song on the Saxophone and I’m sure you would turn some heads in that restraunt with it too. I just posted a topic about “Just the Two of Us” with Bill Withers and Grover Washington; would make a great instrumental; it’s on my list. Like JB is saying, it would be cool to see you do an upload of it–just look under the forum here of “Member’s Videos” and a way you go! We all gain a lot of encouragement and I’m really glad Johnny added that aspect to his site.
