Fairly Competent Beginners 27.7%I confess i mighta been punching above my weight when i filled it in, me good bro’s and swing sisters in saxophonic land..
Upon recollection it may be seen that i haven’t got a really good handle on the palm key notes as yet, ‘eh.
Shame on me. Tsk tsk. There goes the figures. i’m the rawest beginner here.

I seem to recall hearing or reading that JUNIOR WALKER was performing at a club and noticed that people were doing a new dance that they were calling “The Shotgun”. So Junior decided to write a song about it .. and presumably one that people could do the dance to too!!
Consequently the song also mentions other popular dances of the day such as “The Jerk”, “The Pony” .. and .. right on the end .. “The Twine”.Roger
