          All the while ya got some bung notes in there and all but hey your intonation is really on the up.
          Suggest you may need to leave more spaces for the vocalist, it’s not a competition.
          Sometimes, less is more.
          Got a chorus pedal?
          Hey man you’e up on stage doing ya thang and i’m not.
          Sweet @Jake

            Nice tone Jake! It’s great to see someone posting ‘real’ performance videos on here for a change. Uploads are quite scarce these days.

              Comparing Jake’s Sax to the Sax on Wild Weekend, I must say I prefer Jake’s tone. The other sax sounds like it is being throttled to death. Jake’s tone sounds more harmonious and open to me. That may be because I prefer the darker & smooth sax sound. I bet those folks were happy with the band, keep up the good work Jake!

                Thanks for the comments guys. Really appreciated. Hopefully uploads will improve with the new premium access. Back few years ago when I joined we used to post on “the blog”. Man tons of videos and conversations. Be nice to see more of that again!

                  Hiya @Jake and @Jeff @Johnny
                  and all you other guys whom play the sax much better than me, whom i hold in awe and great respect –

                  @Jake
                  you took my feedback on the chin, and, hey i really respect you for rollin’ with it mate.
                  So. i played blues harp for a while in different bands in my twenties and early thirties;
                  Used to make a lotta noise and then learnt just to spice it up and make my notes count.
                  Ya gotta ask yourself, how much is enough?
                  Just sayin’ 🙂

                  Hey @Jeff the Thunderbirds are an Aussie band late 1950’s from the other side of the Country,
                  Really like that bloke’s tone, kinda like ripping or tearing cloth ..
                  “There is no disputing about tastes” [@sxpoet]

                  Is it reasonably comparable to, say, Gil Burnal from Duane Eddy and the All Stars?
                  Think Peter Gunn, Rebel Rouser etc
                  Itz the tone i’m personally chasin’
                  What would you call that particular sound?
                  Shredding??
                  Huh i dunno ..

                  Anyways. i got the tip from @Brother Cavefish about the D’Addario Unfiled Select Jazz reeds .. they are bonza!! I’m on that train. Or grain?

                  Can you now kindly suggest what is the peculiar mouthpiece that’ll give me the “throttled to death” sound, as you put it ??
                  As you may appreciate, it is written, “if you hang on to tightly to anything you will throttle it”.
                  I wanna hang on to me pennies and simply hope to find just one mouthpiece to go, lol, cheers.

                  Thanking you.
                  Mark

                      I hear ya saxmonica. I’m all for feedback that’s How we learn.
                      With just a guitar player and sax I find myself mixing it up. I play bass lines on sax to fill up our sound with my rhythm guitar player. Then I change gears to play lead solos. Def challenging finding the balance. And after 3 hours get pretty winded playing that way.
