So funny to read this post. I had my tenor checked and tweeked a year ago. I have been working on songs that require a low C# and the horn will not play them. I thought it was me. The low C was perfect, but I couldn’t get the C#. I pulled out my backup tenor and blew the note with ease. Guess its time for the shop! I guess a year is good to get out of my horn.
Jake: Have you looked at your C# Db key. Could be restricted movement. That was one of the keys that was involved in my check up. Oil at least every month. Get a leak light too. If you are playing an older horn? They need more care too. The low C key can get out of whack. Put it down with your right little finger gently and look at it seat. Does not take much pressure if it is working wright. Tim
