how do they compare to vandoren cane reeds? i’m a cane reed player not interested in playing on plastic reeds or any comparison to plastic reeds.

they seem a little quieter , not as full sounding as the Java, maybe a little stiffer, , this is a new one , not played in yet, no reason to change from my Java, just another decent reed

Thanks, i’ll try and get a few to try out. I’m alternating between La voz (med/hard) and vandoren V21 (no 3). The V21’s give strong piercing altissimo notes, and also give a smooth soft jazzy sounding low keys without the breathy sound. The la voz reeds are great for exercising/building embouchure controll, then swap to the V21’s for recording
