You should be and it’s totally natural, just like Dazza. It was a long time ago for me when I bought a King Cleveland student model and 2 years later got a Selmer M7 then much later the 6. I was going to sell my 7 but realized it actually sounds better than the 6 so I keep them both. I play the 6 mostly tho cause it feels better.
Yes, I remember all the questions and mysteries I had regarding this beast! We follow along with those who can play and if we spend enough time doing what’s taught eventually it just keeps gettin better and better. If I can do it so can you!

I’ve heard some great things about King Cleveland Saxophones–from the pics I’ve seen of them, they have a look like they’re meant to “scream” LOL From posts I’ve seen on a website like Sax on the Web, seems like lots of players liked pairing either a Berg Larsen or Otto Link with that line of Sax? Those are pics I’ve seen of the Pro Model Saxophones anyway.
This spring (in May actually) marks exactly 2 years of learning to play from you here on this site and I really appreciate your saying of spending enough time doing what’s taught because In the way of learning to play a Saxophone, if there’s one thing that can “get me down” in learning is the following: Making a mistake when I learned knew better in the first place because of something I overlooked, etc.. Also, my brain injury I suffered a few years ago can play a part in ‘getting down” from time-to-time; I’ve had to fight against that and not get “swallowed up” in those down times. I think that saying that “the saxophone is easy to play” is VERY misleading and I think that the people who give up on playing a Saxophone do so because they have that preconceived notion that the Saxophone is easy to play….when they realize that’s it’s precisely the opposite then they get discouraged and give up. When that happens–and it has happened to me in the past 2 years more times than I care to mention–I think it helps us as Student players to look at what we HAVE learned v.s what we still have yet to learn. If you had told me 2 years ago that I would be playing in the Altissimo range and have 2 pro models Saxophones coming to my house, I would have said you we’re nuts! I had never even picked up a Saxophone before in my life before coming here; what you teach here on your site just plain works—-right now I’m having fun with Killer Blues…it’s taken me more time that I thought to ‘digest’ everything in this ebook because there’s so, so much to take in…wow. My wife at first thought that it was a “small” ebook because there’s not too many pages….until she looked at it’s contents that is. But the pay off is gonna be huge. 🙂
