very cool William…I remember a guy in the 70’s John Clemmer used to do a lot of that echo stuff.

Thanks Johnny. Right now I’m working on “Under the Boardwalk”. To my surprise I’m able to keep up with the backing track. Sounds like an oxymoron. Keeping up with a backing track

Well Done William, thanks for sharing. I love to hear other sax players take time out and record their playing, it just shows how different everyone else sounds.

I find it very edifying and encouraging to hear you play so well, William. It’s a beautiful air played convincingly. Ya. Do you have another tune for us coming up soon? Or a song suggestion that might be on Johnny’s working list? 🙂 Cheers Mark

Thanks Ja Br and Mark for stopping by. Well I’m working on “Night Train”. I’m using Johnny’s sheet music with my own bits added to the solo. And I’m working on “Under the Boardwalk” in A major for tenor sax. That puts it in Concert G. I always have “Sweet Caroline” waiting in the wings with “The Power of Love” and “Flash Dance” and a few more. Cheers

I’m also working on “A Little Bit is Better than Nada’. Written by the late Doug Sahm> Doug has spent a lot of time here in Taos, New Mexico, You can hear it in his music. Johnny might played the sax in Doug’s band with Flaco Jimenez, Freddy Fender and the rest of the band.

William, yum yum yummy!! Jolly good show. I love Night Train, it is a complete lesson song.
Neil Diamond is sooo good. And Celine Dion, The Drifters, Irene Cara. We have a lot in common!!
I’ll care to share with you some tuneful enchilada ya
                      Keep on keepin’ on
                      Love you like a brother
                      🙂

                      Lyrics

Met her in a border town
                      We proceeded to get down
                      She turned me on
                      I dropped the telephone
                      Moonlight hits the Rio Grande
And the touch of her hand
                      It makes me high
                      Like the Fourth of July
The bad bandido came into town
But man, I’m gonna hunt that gringo down
But these words keep ringin’ in my ear
A little bit is better than nada
Sometime you want the whole enchilada
A little bit is better than nada
A little bit or nothin’ at all
Said Cancun was not her style
Turistas there, they drove her wild
                      The border’s the place
Put on a brand new face
Me and the boys had just hit town
Shake ’em up and rode ’em down
                      I guess it was fate
                      I hope I wasn’t too late
Bad, bad boys was on our trail
Federales want us all in jail
But these words keep ringin’ in my ear
A little bit is better than nada
Sometime you want the whole enchilada
