Hey Jake, for sure I know the feeling of being at work, or with one of my Medical instructors in class and I’m being tested on whether or not I know at what angle to put the needle before I administer an injection for a TB skin test or giving someone a shot of Penicillin, wishing I was at home instead and listening to great Saxophone music 🙂 Johnny’s song “Mexico” really hit home with me too, a lot of that has to do with the fact that I’m bilingual and I was raised around Los Latinos all my life. After all, I married a beautiful “Senorita” who also loves “Margaritas” as Johnny sings about on that song 😉 When you get a chance, head over to his site johnnyferreira.com and check out the new song that he did called “The Sax Twist”. You’ll find the link below a picture of a hockey player……and Johnny put a pic of his face on that hockey player LOL My only question is does he play Hockey as good as he plays the Saxophone?
October 11, 2013 at 12:09 am #11247Hey Michael what are you in school for? I work as a RN at a trauma center here in good ole central New York. Haha. I find playing the sax is a nice escape from the various things I see while working. It is amazing how music can connect people. Just look at this site for instance. While talking with fellow co-workers at work, I have found others that share an interest in music as well. There is a guitar player dying for me to come hang out and jam with him. I am so looking forward to it but want to get a little better at improvising. Hopefully I will get there sooner than later. Johnny’s book and communication through his forums have been a great help!!
