            Hi, Johnny,

love the way you play the Tenor Sax. I am looking forward to hearing more music from you.

Hey guys. Really looking forward to the new song releases by Johnny. I am really appreciating the simplicity of a good ballad played well and realising how much more effort they take to make great. I was boyd by the fact that JF looked puffed in Moon river so I am aware that playing slowing can be more taxing than blasting loud! Johnny, are you ging to release them once all are done or can you grab the early ones soon.

@ Dazza–I think Johnny will make them available to buy once he’s uploaded all of them to youtube. You’re exactly right about slower ballads being more difficult to play because it’s more difficult to play softly/quietly than it is to play loudly…playing softly magnifies our mistakes. But we would be fooling ourselves into thinking that playing loudly/Altissimo is easy. I’m getting a little stronger/back to normal every day….very slowly but surely. These things rarely happen as fast as we would like them to as you know. Johnny’s timing for these new songs are perfect for me right now because they help with so many things as you know…I guess he read my mind or something LOL Other great songs along these lines that Johnny already has and I was thinking about uploading first was Fly Me to the Moon, Harlem Nocturne, What a Wonderful World, Yesterday, And I Love Her, etc..

ya Dazza, when you go down really low in volume but need to maintain the true tone and intonation it’s harder than blowing your brains out, for me anyway. But I really love that drastic difference drop from loud to soft, and it’s the kind of musical thing that your audience really notices too.
I’ve been able to get on a roll with regards to getting these new 6 songs together and think I’ll have em all done this week.
Even tho the music sheet and audio backing tracks aren’t up yet I thought I’d share the song videos as they became ready to let you guys know what’s coming up.
once the videos are all done I’ll prepare the material for uploading.
the lessons are going to take some time too but maybe I can make the downloads available first,
what do you guys think about that?

Yeh JF. Release asap please. I would be keen to see the lessons later for added insights into each song but the tracks and music would be great before that. I have been playing along by ear on surfer girl and moon river with you and it’s a great way to learn. With the easy songs series 1 it will give me a nice set of 10 ballads to play in public for friends and family. I assume the lessons will cover suggestions on changing up each song with your usual embellishments??
