Yes, I have one of each. I bought the 7 first just after they came out in the late 70’s. later when I was playing professionaly and touring a lot I needed a 2nd sax so bought a 6. My opinion of them is that the 6 feels better but the 7 sounds a little better. I prefer and play the 6 most of the time.
The only negative thing about the 7 is the right hand low note cluster which has the lowest Bb, B etc…it’s very large and cumbersome. Other than that it’s a great horn.
