How To Play a Glissando on the Saxophone

The glissando, also called a gliss or fall-off is a great way to end a note, phrase or solo.

There are a few things to consider when learning how to play a glissando on the saxophone, but the most important thing of all is being able to play the chromatic scale really fast, this is the key! You can practice this scale starting on any note because this scale uses all the notes – chromatic means every semi-tone in concession.
