“Sleepwalk”
Saxophone Music and Backing Track

(Originally written and recorded in 1959 by Santo & Johnny)

Johnny’s version on video:

Sleepwalk Saxophone Music

sleepwalkThe brothers Santo and Johnny Farina wrote this beautiful tune for Santo’s steel guitar but it’s really well suited for the saxophone too! It’s a melody that is popular, soulful, bluesy and a lot of fun to play! Almost countless of people have recorded this song in different ways because it remains as one of the most beautiful instrumentals of all time.

Released on record in the great rock and roll year of 1959. This was the last rock and roll instrumental record of that year, where it remained in the top of the charts from August untill December. Santo and Johnny recorded this with their uncle Mike Dee backing them on drums.

This Sleepwalk saxophone music backing track is in the same key as the original one recorded by Santo and Johnny. The concert key is C major which puts it in D for the tenor saxophone players and in A for the alto saxes.
