i’m currently practicing “fly me to the moon” in all 12 major keys by ear, i can play it in C, C# & D major.
Every month i learn to play it in a new major scale with a backing track.
that’s one of the Best things you can practice!
similar to a lesson I put up in the blog several months ago; 12 days, 12 keys…or something like that.
what happens is you start to get more even in your technique everywhere on your horn. this is something most of us are not because we only play in a few different keys.
