Hi Johnny, I have tried to view the video using the link http://mediawithus.com/development/aws_test/johnny/video_player_welcome.php both on my IPAD as well as my Office desk top computer but unfortunately it does not work at all. Is it possible that it may be because I have not yet purchased the Altissimo course that the video does not want to work? I fully intend to purchase the course but the reason I have not done so yet is wait till all the teething problems you guys are having is sorted out before I proceed.

Not sure Reg, when I click it it takes me to a page that has the video in it and it plays.
This was set up by the tech guy to see if it works for those that want to view it on an iPad or iPhone.
Anyway, we have ironed out the major issues with video loading and streaming I believe.
If there are any more things not to worry as they will sort it out as we go.
If you are on the altissimo email list then you will get the up dated emails and monitor the situation.
We are now moving on to lesson 2 and it should be running smoothly.

Hey Johnny, playing the video works when I use my laptop. The only problem is that it takes long to download and then the video plays about 4 of 5 words before stopping to download more video material and so on. It gets rather frustrating listening to a video that is stopping more often than it is playing.
I have a DELL laptop with 3 gb RAM and a 64 bit operating system. Does your I.T boffins have any fixes for this problem?

ya, I found out that problem is because of a slow internet connection. There is a fix for it and that is to give you different video size/quality options…so instead of loading the large HD maga huge file you would choose a smaller one in which case it would require less bandwidth etc to load and your slower connection could keep up better.
The tech is looking into this and given time and money anything is possible!

Hi Johnny, can you please resend me the “Welcome to the Altissimo course” video using the smaller file. The one you sent me on the 30 March takes for ever to download. If the smaller files work then I can purchase the course knowing that I will not have any technical problems.

Reg, not quite understanding your request…
Did you register for the course? If so you will be taken to the welcome video soon as you log in.
If not, you can’t access the course through the site, that’s the way it’s set up so I even if I send you the link it won’t let you access.
Anyway, if your concern is the slow loading video problems we were facing earlier it’s been cleared up. We re-uploaded the videos using way smaller files and it has fixed the issue. Everyone has reported smooth running. We are now getting the iPad iPhone thing together too so soon they will be viewable on those as well.

Thanks Johnny, its good to know that the file loading problem is sorted out. I will settle down later today and purchase the course, I have just woken up and have quite a number of things to take care of first. I am looking forward to joining the course.
