Home Alt › Forums › Repertoire › JF – will you doing any new Xmas tracks this year?
I may have time to do one if I’m lucky.
Just been in the middle of a kitchen reno
and will spend most of Oct on the road playing so time is tight.
I was thinking of doing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and then got a couple guys emailing
requesting it as well.
Tell you what, let’s have those interested pitch in with requests and I’ll do whatever song wins out.
I’m fine with any xmas tune, but will lean more towards any Rocky sounding xmas jingle
Santa Claus is Coming to Town by Bruce Springsteen is rocky!! I would love to hear Johnny cover the Clarence Clemons solo in that tune! I can hear his screaming tenor and his glissandros now!! Music to my ears!!
Hi Johnny
2 songs I would request from yourself are== Going Home For Christmas ( Chris Rea)
and Last Christmas ( Wham) who mentioned Christmas, time is faster enough.
HI Johnny
Meant to say Driving Home For Christmas—Chris Rea
I like Johnny’s Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Any Springsteen songs would always be welcomed here.
@JF – glad to hear you will doing an xmas track!
looks like Merry Little Christmas is favorite to win!
I would love you to do your version of EAGLES- Please come home for xnas. Has a easy bluesy feel to it that you could do s nice job with for sure. Has a little solo section that could be fun to play also. Have not found a decent version of this one on Sax as yet. What ya think?
Santa Clause is Back in Town by Elvis…12 bar blues. Johnny, I know about those kitchen redo’s. In 2013 we did a whole interior of the house redo. I’m working on “The Boulevard of Broken Dreams” among other pieces. Rock on.
