Question about the 1st exercise

Hi Johnny,
When i play the mouthpiece on its own,
i can play the 8 notes you play in the
Alto video!
When you attach the neck piece to the
mouthpiece & blow through the mouthpiece,
how many notes can you play?
And if you still can’t blow all 8 notes? Why?

no you can’t play many notes that way. I guess it’s because of the size of the hole at the end of the neck, way bigger than the one at the end of the mp. Take this another step and try playing with no fingering into your sax, even less notes right?

just making sure nothing was wrong when i
could’t get all 8 notes on the mouthpiece/neck
combination.
