THANK YOU SO MUCH for your video on ligatures, I received a Rovner dark Lig today in the post – I bought it from a U.S Ebay site, for less than half the price that I would have paid in a shop here in Australia.
I can’t believe the incredible difference it has made to my sound. I am using an H.Couf 3 * mouthpiece, with a 2.5 Gonzalez reed, on a Yanagisawa alto sax. I have only been playing since June, but am now a lot happier with the sound.Obviously there is still a lot of room for improvement, but it is a good start.The new ligature makes playing so much easier – especially on the lower notes, which I really struggled to get before.
So thanks Johnny – yet another great service that you have provided for us budding sax players:)
