Two different saxophones

I have a beautiful Yamaha Tenor 62 II Have only been playing for about 4 months. Love it and I am playing, as far as I am concerned, pretty well. As I do in many cases in life, I just purchased a beautiful Rampone Cazzani alto. When it arrived, I could not get any sound. so I went and purchased a Selmer S80 mouthpiece and I get some sound, not to my liking.

I tried different reeds, from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2. I did not realize the alto would be more difficult to play than the tenor. Would like to hear from anyone with any information that would help.

If you’ve been playing a tenor for a few months and are doing ok, the alto should be easier if anything so I think something’s not right. Your mouthpeice and reed selection sounds good, I would be suspicious of the alto. Might have a pad leak or something out of place.
