									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>No. I use my condenser mic usually about 2 feet away on a mic stand from me which is phantom powered through my audio interface.  It’s an Akg 220. I use a Mac with reaper software for mixing.  Took a little bit but now I have my settings saved so I’m always the same and can make small tweeks as needed. </p>

I switch up every now and then but find myself right back on the fat boy.  That’s one’s def my go to.  Also suppose I’m the most used to it. Plays easy for me. Altissimo comes right out and it’s the best for my intonation.    Lol. </p>

After playing a bit I have a wet mouth and there tends to get saliva on the backside of the reed.  I take it off and wipe it down and it&#8217;s gone.  Not sure if that may be an issue for ya??<br />

I hated Legeres, stiff and horrible to me.  I actually played on Fibracells before switching over.  I am horrible to my reeds.  Leave them on my horn on the stand.  Pick em up and go when I play. I use a boss ve-20 and play around with a vocal 300.  Tons of options on those devices.  I really only want to add some reverb and a lil delay.  Does the mic mechanic have both of those? They are not Johnny quality as they seem midi based but the notes play and a bar follows along while the note is played. <p>Started this project Thursday!  I need a class in video editing.  Not the end result I was looking for but really its all about the music anyways.  Happy with my sound progression.  Needed to work on my alto to make it stand up to my tenor so that was good! 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>WOW.  Love the copper reeds for my tenor.  I did find that the sound was much more of what I was looking for when I paired it with my metal FB mouthpiece tho. I am still waiting on shipment to try on my alto.  I currently use a Vandoren JumboA45 for the alto.  Wonder how this MP will stack up??   Will be interesting to see how they compare. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I don&#8217;t agree with ya here James.  I actually prefer the sound of the other recording.  The sax sound is LOST in this logic pro mix.  Yea there is effects on your sound but to my ears hurts the mix.  The other recording much more clear and focused!  Gotta have some fast fingerings too for this song!  Good job.<br />

A berg 120/0.  High baffle.  Still wasn’t getting his sounds so def knew there was more to it. I believe years ago on the old blog section Johnny sated he used a berg Larsen years ago.<br />

I slowed it to about 0.6% and WOW is my mouth tired.  Great exercise to utilize.  Similar to long tones.  I used my TE tuner and focused on keeping the notes in tune.
