I play a couple of different mouthpieces for different band sounds, (wind ensemble, big band). My Meyer 5 and Vandoren V16 have no problem tuning. When I try the Jody Jazz-New York, I can’t get it far enough down the neck (even with lots of slick). Without sanding down the cork, which will mess up my other pieces, what options do I have. I like the sound of the Jody jazz for solo, but don’t want to give up my other pieces. Any help is always appreciated.
      Thanks

sand out the shank of the JJ, but i believe you can just play it in tune by your air, personally i never use a tuner, it very rarely comes out right anyway, any slight airflow and its out of tune by a few cents, personally i like flat tuning, i can bring it in tune
