Hi Guys, I thought I’d try an experiment and it works really well. I collected a cupful of beeswax from a honey farmer. Melted it in a tuna tin on the stove and ran it through a sieve to clean it. Melting the clean wax in the tin again, I added some coconut grease (used for frying) to make it softer (3-8% of volume) and stirred it in really well. Poured it into a small jar and waited for it to cool down. If it is too hard melt it again and add more coconut grease, if it is too soft add more wax. This is an all natural solution and the neck cork does not get saturated or discolour. I’ve been using it for a year now and I think it works better than those small sticks I’ve previously bought. You don’t need to put much on (a match head amount) for the MP to slide smoothly over the cork.
