If you have studied jazz then you very familiar with the basic theory which we use for playing blues and rock. Jazz came from blues (so did rock) but is a more complex form. The secret to playing good rock and roll is not so much about complicated theory like jazz, but more of a feeling and style. I have some very basic improvisation lessons that show you how to start learning basic solos with just a few notes. You can experiment with these over a backing track and continue from there. Look in the “Improvisation” section on the home page.

        good luck!
        Johnny
