Melissa does a great job bringing out Sonny Rollins
She has a custom Mark Marantz Mouthpiece. Supposedly her forever mouthpiece. I can’t say that yet, though I am very close.
She also now plays a Custom Neck by Amsterdam Winds that is supposedly her forever neck. Don’t know if it is on in this video.
That should be Matt Marantz not Mark. oops…
wow, thought it was my cd of Sonny starting to play in the lap top. Amazing sound just like the “man”
it definitely takes a lot of listening, studying and transcribing to get that level of his sound.
