I know it helps if you can remember
      Father,Charles,Goes,Down,And,Ends,Battle (fcgdaeb – for major scales G,D,A,E,B,F#,C#)
      and the opposite
      Battle,Ends,And,Down,Goes,Charles,Father (beadgcf – for major scales F,Bb,Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Cb)

but when i looked at the way Johnny layed out the scales – it made it clear to me :-

To move a scale up a semitone (eg change Bb major to B major) just change all the naturals into sharps & change all the flats into naturals.

Likewise to move a scale down a semitone (eg change B major to Bb major) just change all the naturals into flats & change all the sharps into naturals.

      Thanks Johnny,
once again your lessons provide a wealth of useful information!
