I just got a Sax! No, not a new one, I borrowed one.
Ever since I started listening to the dire Straits years ago, I was fascinated by the sound of a saxophone. Then my kids started in band in school and I was hoping they would take up the sax, but they did not. And I did not want to buy one, only to find out that I give up after 3 weeks.
So, 2 days ago someone lent me hers, as she got a new one a few months back.
Now the insides of my lips are sore from practicing 🙂
Will see if I am still that excited 3 months from now.

Great for you! The lip soreness is natural for the first little while and will slowly go away as you do it more. This is much the same way a guitarist gets calluses on the fingers, you are getting it on the inside of your lip.
