Hi all, I would like to play blueberry hill over concert G blues backing track. So i will play blues scale in A. Now i don’t know how to transpose notes of Johhny’s version so it will fit my A blues over G blues backing. I like this song and i would like to use some parts of song for improvisation training.

        very simple Simon…
my version is in the key of C concert, so D on tenor.
so if it’s in D on tenor it will be in A for alto (alto charts are a perfect 4th below tenor charts)
so if you want to play it in G concert (A on tenor) just go download the alto chart for Blueberry Hill.
You can read that chart in A because you’ll be playing with a concert G track…make sense?

Thanks Johnny. I guess this will work if i play A major blues scale? But i have A minor blues scale- notes are A,C,D,D#,E,G. I would like to use blueberry hill melody for improvisation. So i guess i need to start on A and transpose all notes 7 semi tones higher? I’m kinda lost on all this transposing, hahaha.
