i remember years ago, i clicked on one of these sex websites (purely for research reasons), and something like twenty different explicit pages popped up on the screen, as soon as i closed down one page, another one opened up. In the end i had to switch off the computer and disconnect the internet. lol
Now a days, it’s more serious, as they can use the website as an excuse to install some serious stuff on your computer without you knowing it. Worst case they can lock you out of your computer and make you pay to get back into to it. Even use your laptop camera to watch you undress. Some install software to record every key you press on the computer, so they can get hold of your passwords for online banking. Last i heard, they can slow your computer down to do their bit coin mining in the background. Some have even stored child porn on other peoples computers – i don’t know if that’s true or just an excuse made by the computer owner to deny they were storing it themselves (more likely).
