Having fun with the new Bari, trying to get a voice on it, still having a bit of an issue with barking but I think stepping up the reed strength some has helped. Thanks for the great track John!

imo – going up a mouthpiece size would work out better in the long run, i agree i can hear the reed sounds way too easy to play more puff on the reed would sound too thin, a slightly more heavy sax volume sound would come from a stronger reed when blown harder.

Fantastic A one man band. Sounds great. I have to hold my sheet music up as you play along

Back again for another listen. I need to keep you on stand by I’ll have the melody in my memory. I’m waiting for my sax mute to arrive so I can practice “Drift Away” without upsetting the house. I ordered the mute that encloses the whole sax, called the esax mute. So right now I’m blowing Tom Jones’ “Help Yourself”.

                      Thanks folks!

LOL, no worries Pete, you sound fantastic by the way!

John, I’m playing an Eastman 52nd St. Baritone sax I picked up about a month ago. I’m using a Drake Contemporary II mouthpiece with a .115 tip opening and I used a Select Jazz 3M on this tune but I had to work it a bit to be able to get to play loose enough in the lower octave. Might be time to experiment with some other reed brands, any suggestions?
