My First Sax

Just got my first sax a couple of days ago and have finally began to be able to practice.
I have started on learning the C major scale on this website. Is that a good place to start for a brand new beginner?

My new sax is a Selmer TS500.

Hi Henry – scales are real good technique builders, a few months ago i went to see a group of students of various grades playing their Sax’s with backing tracks, and i could tell the ones that practised their scales! Johnny gives real sound advice on this website!!
