I put some sax tracks on an original song for a friend who lives in Denmark (I’m in CA), his tune is very “Bruceish”, I’m definitely no Clarence but he was pretty happy with the solo (starts at 2:32 not he song) and he submitted it for a song writing contest in his homeland, have no clue how it did but it was fun putting down tracks and sending them to someone whom I’ve never met in person, getting feedback and trying different things. It took probably five or six takes to get something dialed in he liked, melodic and soulful were his requirements.
