Yeah Dazza it will for sure be a big adjustment. Currently I am playing a 6* link so I am positive the air support is going to be a drastic change and jump. I do have a small variety of reeds but might have to try a few more. Still “hoping to grow into it” over time. Just love the big full sound JF gets out of it and had to try it :).
trust me guys – i was playing the equivalent of a yamaha 4c last year, jumped on the alto king guardella – no problemo, ok a few squeeks, the same reed size worked – i can’t c anyone making the jump
and not being able to play the new mouthpiece – the only difference is the volume is greater, the notes clearer and if you play in a small room listeners will ask you to play softer …
