Hi William! Says Kahlil Gibran, work is love made visible.

          🙂

John writes, Santana’s Europa Saxophone Music

This beautiful instrumental was released by Carlos Santana in 1976. It was in a very similar style to another one of his beautiful instrumentals called Samba Pa Ti which you can also check out by clicking the link.

Shortly after the Carlos Santana release of Europa Gato Barbieri recorded a very popular version with his growly tenor saxophone sound.

          Song Key
The Europa saxophone music offered for download here is in the key of G minor concert. This was also the key that Gato Barbieri recorded the song in.

That means the tenor music chart is in the key of A minor and the alto saxophone chart is in E minor. The original key of Santana’s recording was a 5th higher in C minor. This key works well on guitar but not as well on the saxophone.

William, here’s a version of Europa by Nigel McGill (Australian bloke) on line, and, am pretty sure i have seen you commenting there on his site in the past ya?

Europa by Santana / Gato Barbieri on saxophone

Another take being by EasyMusicLesson this time with some particular reference to chords and melody notes

Also lesson by Neil Battaglia –

Howz thangs? Did you work out what came first? The chords or the melody?
As you may appreciate, a problem well stated is a problem half solved.
