On Her Majesty’s Secret Service – John Barry – 1969.
I was messing around with this for practice and the song grew on me. I don’t think I ever heard this song before.
This was the theme to the 6th James Bond movie, 2 million tickets were sold. This was also the 1st James Bond movie that Sean Connery was not James Bond.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes I was tapping my foot for timing. I will work on putting more air to the higher notes (I didn’t know how to fix so your feedback was helpful). Thank you everyone for your advise. I purchased a Meyer NY SPECIAL EDITION 6M. I am loving it. Not quite at 100% control of it yet but will be soon. I am very happy. Thanks Again!

Worked on this song today. I got a new mouthpiece and every now and then gets away from me. (Thank you everyone who gave me advice on a mouthpiece.) But getting so much better with practice.

40 years ago I didn’t get a choice on the mouthpiece for my Yamaha Alto Saxophone YAS21. I am sure the band teacher picked it out. It is a Selmer Goldentone 3. I haven’t ever used anything else and it has also done fine. I am toying with buying a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece. Anyone have any experience with either of these mouthpieces? If so…[Read more]
