Thanks SXPOET, I have Yamaha Custom ZS Tenor using a otto link ( 30yr old) “Super Tone Master 7* M/P, Francois Louis Ligature I have a Yamaha MG 10XU Mixer using it to record on Audacity, not mastered the recording part yet only just got the mixer. Still working it out but enjoying it..

Mel yea good ligature Francois Louis, I have the Ultimate silver for my Otto Link STM 7* M/P and like you say it makes the difference in it being more open and frees the reed more. It is a minefield the reed & mouthpiece debate, when you are happy with what you have just get on with practice/playing to much time talking about the gear can throw…[Read more]

Jeff i use a Optimum ligature with it sounds pretty good or a Rovner Dark, which is ok. Should sound nice on a Yamaha!

Jeff you will like this one had it for a couple of years now, very happy with it.

Mark so glad you got the prostate problem sorted, i am sure you will get where you are going with the sax.
Have you got a laptop with Windows media player with a disc player? you can burn all your recorded backing tracks on there. I burnt all my tracks fron Johnny on there and my recordings of me on sax, or get a mp3player and download the tracks…[Read more]
